For our Sales Department based in Brussels, we are looking for a:

Business Development Manager


For the Sales Department - within Sopra Banking Software BeLux – you establish new relationships with our target market and you maintain existing client relations by providing support, information and guidance.

The Sopra Banking Software BeLux Sales team is based in Brussels and the team is working on the banking market in Belgium and Luxemburg. As banking services start to become offered by Fintech companies, also this particular market segment will be addressed.

Your tasks mainly consist in:

  • Sell software products by establishing contacts and developing relationships with prospects;
  • Maintain relationships with existing banking clients;
  • Identify business opportunities by analyzing your prospects and evaluating their position in the industry;
  • Contribute to the team target by accomplishing related results as needed;
  • Helping marketing with content for several campaigns.


  • You have between 10 – 15 years experience with sales in the finance sector;
  • You have at least 5 years experience in software product selling or you have worked as an Engineer or Project manager in an IT company and you have a commercial spirit ;
  • An existing contact network in the Belgian and/or Luxemburg banking market is considered as a plus;
  • You have experience in negotiating complex software contracts and related packages such as implementation projects, maintenance & support, training, …
  • You have an affinity with digital and innovative elements that will change the banking scene
  • You are willing to attend trade exhibitions, conferences and meetings of our industry
  • You have good reporting and presentation skills;
  • You are a team player and you dare taking some initiatives;
  • You are client-oriented and open to change;
  • You are result-oriented and a quick learner;
  • You have a high energy level and you are highly motivated to open new doors;


You have excellent French / Dutch and English oral and written skills.
